Sharon Harris Obituary

On February 13, 1965, Sharon Ann Harris was the sixth child born to the union of Nathaniel and Ruby Lee Harris, who both preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death is her older brother, Nathaniel Harris; two sisters, Mary Harris and Gerdine Harris. Sharon attended and graduated from Austin High School, and she went to Culinary School, where she received her chef license. Sharon was a hard worker who maintained several jobs. Her last job was working in the Chicago Public Schools, where she made a living doing what she loved to do, cooking. Sharon met Richard “Rick” Martin, in her earlier years and they had two beautiful daughters. Sharon was such a beautiful woman inside and out, always going above and beyond for her family. She made sure her daughters learned how to become strong women and cook like her. Sharon’s fondest memories were when she bought her first building. On April 16, 2011, she married her husband, Paul Harris. After being married, she was full of life and took on the responsibility to help raise three of her young stepkids. Cherishing her memories are: her husband, Paul Harris; two daughters, Lashika Harris and Dominique Harris; three step daughters, Dominique Davis, Sheandra (Clay) Sneed, and Bridget Harris; two stepsons, Devion Harris and Cordell Harris; three grandchildren, Jeffery Stewart, Eric Hampton, and Ethan Hampton; six stepgrandchildren, Darrius, Dalianna, Damar, Nichelle, Daequan, and Nyasia; sister, Viola Harris; brother, Roger (Linda) Harris; stepbrothers, Walter, Jr., and Andre; aunties, Willie Mae and Melzonia; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; including best friends, Catherine Richardson, Marie Johnson, and Joyce Jackson.
