Kenneth Daniels Sr. Obituary

Kenneth D. Daniels Sr. (Kenny) was born April 8, 1954 to Overtis & Viola Daniels Sr. Being the 10th of 14 total brothers and sisters, Kenny was, and always, remained the most quiet of the bunch. Both parents, as well as five brothers - James, Alfonzo, Overtis Jr., Anderson, Eddie and five sisters - Alma Holmes, Augustine Crowder, Ernestine Scott, Eliza Weather, and Yvonne Whitehead have all preceded him in death. Growing up on the west side of Chicago, Kenny received his formal education in the Chicago Public School system at Charles Sumner Elementary & John Marshall Metropolitan High School. Although Kenny possessed many high demanding jobs, he was at best with his hands becoming the neighborhood's favorite mechanic and well renown carpenter. Kenny showed everyone the same love despite the return. One thing that kept his spirits positive was family: starting with all of the kids who loved him best because he always had candy. Kenny was united in holy matrimony to Crystal Rankins in 1975 -88; to this union, three children were born. Later in life, Kenny met Brenda King and to this union, one child was born. Kenny departed this life on April 9, 2020. He leaves to cherish his memory and celebrate his life, four children - LeeOsco Rankins (Kiyomi), Selenea Hughes (Charles), Kenneth Daniels Jr. (Cylvia), Shannon King and seven grandchildren. Kenny is survived by three siblings - Sylvester Daniels, Viola Sumpter (Edward), and Martin Daniels (Samantha); aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of relatives and friends.
